Main Purpose and Vision of the Journal:

The primary aim and vision of publishing this journal are to advance theoretical knowledge in areas related to urban design, improve the quality of the built environment, enhance the Iranian-Islamic physical identity, and support the design of public urban spaces in Iran.

Other objectives of the journal include:

• Facilitating the process of publishing, supporting, and disseminating well-founded, up-to-date, and reliable scientific research results with credible and original sources in the fields related to urban design studies and the analysis of public urban spaces.
• Establishing a common ground and language between the academic community and governmental, private, and public institutions in urban design, architecture, and urban planning, with an emphasis on improving the quality of public spaces in Iran and enhancing the Iranian-Islamic identity.
• Collaborating with prominent global, national, and regional institutions and universities to publish scientific research in urban design and the enhancement of public urban space quality.
• Strengthening and expanding the research capabilities of the Faculty of Art and Architecture at Shiraz University and establishing it as a distinguished research center in urban design studies and Iranian-Islamic physical identity enhancement in the southern region of the country.
